ANDREW COLLEY has written books and articles about education policy and practice, as well as plays and short stories for children. He has written radio and TV dramas for the BBC Open University Production Unit, and an award-winning play Famous and Forgotten about women’s football in England in the Great War. It was Charles Agate who greeted Andrew at the top of the stairs on his first day at primary school in 1966.
JOHN NEIL is a senior civil servant who has spent most of his career working at the Home Office. He is currently an advisor on data and digital matters to the directors of a non-departmental public body in London. He has recently completed two other books: a history of the police use of technology and a biography of the author Gay Taylor.
