Aldermaston might be called the Los Alamos of Great Britain, and was the object of numerous intelligence and counter-intelligence operations during the Cold War. An isolated RAF airfield in southern England, it was selected as the principal site for British nuclear weapons development. This lavishly illustrated book was produced in Britain in co-operation with Aldermaston's current management.
